Breathwork is a very safe method for many, but there are certain contraindications. It is important for participants to consult with their healthcare provider before engaging in breathwork therapy, especially if they have any pre-existing medical conditions.
Breathwork is not recommended for individuals with the following conditions:
PTSD
Epilepsy
Glaucoma
Uncontrolled high blood pressure
Osteoporosis
Aneurysms
Cardiovascular disease or prior heart attacks
Detached retina
Pregnancy
Bipolar disorder
Schizophrenia or any acute psychiatric conditions
Asthma (Please ensure you have your puffer close by during the session, with your doctor’s approval.)
