My Journey
My journey into healing began in my mid-twenties when I met my first teacher, Elke Tildon, a Reiki Master who introduced me to the beautiful practice of Reiki. Looking back, I can see this was the beginning of a path that would quietly unfold over the next twenty years.
For many years I worked full-time as a makeup artist in the Film and Television industry in Sydney. It was a career I loved, but behind the scenes I found myself caught in the same cycle so many of us know too well—burnout, overworking, overthinking, constantly doing, living from fear, and pushing through each day simply to survive.
Throughout those years, yoga became my anchor. It was the one practice that continually brought me back to myself, helping me find moments of balance amongst the chaos.
Then came COVID.
For many people it was an incredibly difficult time, but for me it became an unexpected gift. For the first time in years, life stopped. I finally had the space to slow down, reconnect with myself, and hear the whispers of my heart again.
In that moment I made a promise to myself—I would finally follow my heart. I would pursue what truly lit me up, rather than what I thought I should do.
I've never looked back.
My formal yoga journey began with a 200-hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training through Swami Sarasvati in Sydney. Swami was a true pioneer, bringing yoga into the mainstream in Sydney during the 1960s. To have met and learned from such an inspiring woman was an incredible privilege.
Around the same time, I began my Shamanic Apprenticeship with Shaman Orion through the Ursus School of Shamanism, completing Level One training. Orion's teachings drew from both Richard Running Deer, a Southern Ute Medicine Man, and Dickie Miniyitiri, a Pitjantjatjara Nungkari healer, allowing us to experience a respectful blend of Indigenous wisdom, ceremony and healing traditions.
My journey then led me to Gemmita from Anchoring the Light, whose teachings deeply resonated with me. I felt an immediate connection to the ancient wisdom she shared, particularly the traditions of the Andean Quechua people of Peru. Today I continue my training, working with the Ñustas of the Seven Rays, this is with both Gemmita and her teacher, Andean Maestro Puma Fredi Quispe Singona - An honour.
It was during my Shamanic training that breathwork unexpectedly found me.
One day, while teaching yoga, I noticed a poster advertising an upcoming breathwork event. I remember feeling butterflies in my stomach and thinking, "Okay... I'm in."
I had no idea that one decision would completely change the course of my life and what a mind blowing experience it was! I knew exactly why I was here on the earth and had a glimpse into remembering who I truly was….
Soon afterwards I travelled to Thailand to complete an intensive month of training at Sama Karuna, where I experienced Tetra Breathwork in its fullest expression. The depth of healing I experienced ignited something within me. I knew I had found another piece of the puzzle.
While in Thailand, I also experienced my very first ice bath. One of the participants couldn't stop talking about someone named Wim Hof.
When I returned home, curiosity got the better of me.
I searched his name online and found myself sitting there with tears running down my face as I listened to him speak. There was something about his message that gave me immense hope and inspiration.
Only a month later, I discovered the Wim Hof Method Instructor Training was coming to Australia.
Another piece to the puzzle.
I loved every minute of it.
But my curiosity didn't stop there.
I wanted to learn everything I possibly could about breathwork.
I went on to sign up with 9D Breathwork, before completing an intensive Rebirthing Breathwork training with Krissy Conway.
This training became one of the most profound healing experiences of my life. Krissy held space with extraordinary love, integrity and safety, creating an environment where deep transformation felt possible. Krissy learnt directly form Leonard Or the founder of Rebirthing Breathwork back in the 60’s.
During this time I had the opportunity to experience Breathwork in Water again, another deeply nourishing practice.
It was here that I realised something profound.
For most of my life, I believe my nervous system had been living in a constant state of overdrive.
To experience true calm, to feel completely relaxed in both my body and mind felt completey foreign.
And I realised...
I liked it.
That experience changed the way I viewed health, healing and modern life.
It made me realise how many of us are living disconnected from our bodies, caught in endless cycles of doing, thinking and striving, without ever truly resting.
From that moment on, I became deeply passionate about helping others reconnect with their own nervous systems and rediscover what it feels like to feel safe, calm and fully alive.
In amongst all of this, I also trained in TRE (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises). I often describe it as neurological tremoring because it reflects the body's natural ability to gently tremor and unwind after periods of stress. I have found it to be a beautiful complement to breathwork, supporting relaxation, body awareness, and nervous system regulation.
I also completed another 200-hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training with Adya and Velan from Sacred Seeds in Byron Bay. This training included extensive daily practice of Calligraphy Health, a beautiful movement practice that Velan learned directly under Master Zhen Hua Yang, the founder of this powerful healing modality.
Through a dear friend, I was fortunate enough to meet Master Yang in person this year—an experience that deeply inspired me and ignited a desire to continue learning under his guidance, particularly in the areas of Women's Health and hormonal wellbeing.
As both science and ancient wisdom continue to evolve, we are gaining a deeper appreciation of the relationship between stress, the nervous system, fascia, and the body. This growing understanding has only strengthened my passion for helping others reconnect with themselves through movement and breath.
I completed a 50-hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training with Mel McLaughlin, who trained directly under Paul Grilley, widely regarded as the founder of modern Yin Yoga.
Yin Yoga opened another doorway in my learning—the fascinating world of fascia.
The more I studied, the more I realised how profoundly important healthy fascia is, not only for movement, mobility, and physical wellbeing, but also for our sense of connection within the body. I am fascinated by the intersection between modern myofascial research and ancient healing traditions. While science continues to uncover the remarkable role fascia plays in communication, force transmission, and whole-body integration, many holistic traditions have long viewed it as a connective network through which energy and awareness are experienced.
As my journey continued, I realised there were so many beautiful practices that could support nervous system regulation, healing and transformation.
Naturally, I felt called to sound.
What began as curiosity soon became another profound chapter in my journey and one that has since become a cornerstone of my offerings, often woven together with yoga, breathwork and meditation.
At the time, my beautiful Mum had been in and out of hospital, and learning sound arrived exactly when I needed it. It became a space where I could simply stop, receive, and allow myself to be held.
I had the absolute privilege of learning from Serya and Matty, founders of Sound of Being. Their teachings were unlike anything I had experienced—deeply heart-led, authentic and grounded in wisdom, integrity and genuine care. They taught me that sound isn't simply something we hear; it is something we feel.
As time passed, sound became one of my closest companions.
Then my beautiful Mumma passed away.
Losing her became one of the greatest teachers of my life.
It deepened my understanding of grief, love, spirituality and what it truly means to be human.
I often wonder how anyone navigates the loss of someone they love without some understanding that we are more than our physical bodies. My own spiritual path became an anchor during that time, reminding me that love never truly leaves us - it simply changes form.
Grief has a way of stripping away everything that isn't real.
It teaches us that life is precious.
That presence is precious.
That every conversation, every embrace, every sunrise and every ordinary moment is a gift.
Today, I carry those lessons with me in everything I teach.
Every class, every workshop and every retreat is created with the intention of offering people a space to pause, reconnect, soften and remember themselves.
Rather than teaching a single modality, I now weave together the practices that have most profoundly transformed my own life - yoga, breathwork, sound, somatic practices and ancient wisdom - creating experiences that nurture the body, calm the nervous system and invite people home to themselves.
Because I believe healing doesn't come from one practice alone.
It comes from feeling seen.
Feeling safe.
Feeling connected.
And remembering that everything we need has been within us all along
Exploring where these worlds continue to inspire both my learning and my teaching.
Looking back, I can see that every teacher arrived exactly when I needed them.
Every experience.
Every challenge.
Every practice.
Every breath.
Each one has shaped not only the practitioner I have become but the person I am today.
And my journey is far from over.
I will always remain a student.
There is always more to learn, more to experience and more opportunities to grow.
Today, my greatest passion is sharing the wisdom, practices and healing that have transformed my own life.
My hope is to create a safe space where others can reconnect with themselves, regulate their nervous systems, remember who they truly are and awaken to the life that has always been waiting for them.
I would be honoured to walk beside you as you begin your own journey - one breath, one movement and one moment of presence at a time.
